For modern adventurers, travel isn’t a spectator sport. It’s about being fully immersed in new destinations and cultures without sacrificing comfort and style. Celebrity Cruises knows this. After all, we set the standard for modern luxury travel. And now we’ve made the destination experience even more immersive, starting right on board. From its unique outward-facing design to the industry-first Magic Carpet that reaches heights of 13 stories above sea level, Celebrity Edge breaks from traditional ship design. Here, predictability and convention are stripped away, returning luxury sea travel to its very essence: simple, beautiful, imaginative encounters that leave you relaxed, refreshed, and inspired by the world around you.

Revolutionary in its vision, the Resort Deck is encompassed by an outward-facing asymmetrical pool deck with a poolside gallery full of over sized art installations, two-story martini hot tubs, and high-ceilinged private cabanas that overlook the ocean. There’s also the Rooftop Garden, an urban playscape where you can catch a movie, have a picnic, or dance among the stars. Fly high in the sky on the Magic Carpet, cantilevered over the ocean and connecting you to destinations in a new immersive way. Find an intimate space at the reimagined, adults-only Solarium. Or go for a run on the jogging track that spans two decks and winds up, down, and around the Rooftop Garden and terraced pool deck.

The Magic Carpet is designed with comfortable seating, a full bar, and space for live music performances, so it truly is a destination itself on Celebrity Edge. But depending on the positioning, its mood and function changes—providing exciting new venues, incredible visual perspectives, and a distinct experience on every deck it visits.

At the center of this space (but not the center of attention) is a 25-yard lap pool, the largest in our fleet, featuring in-pool loungers. Positioned magnificently above the Pool Bar is an oversized and ever-changing mirror installation. Along with unique tree sculptures that add an air of whimsy, it’s part of a remarkable poolside gallery that sets this space apart from any other at sea. Another attention-grabbing addition to the pool deck—and another first for Celebrity—are two striking, two-story martini hot tubs, that take unwinding at sea to new heights. Just off the pool deck are the outward-facing, private cabanas. Spacious (165 square feet) and airy (more than 18 feet high), these luxurious coves invite you to climb in and get lost in the plush seating and incredible views of the sea. At night, ambient lighting turns the cabanas into intimate spaces perfect for enjoying cocktails and the moonlight glimmering off the ocean.

On Celebrity Edge, the Rooftop Garden is full of unexpected pleasures day and night. Find a cozy chair, sink in, and get lost in a good book. Sip a refreshing cocktail as you gaze out over the open ocean. Satisfy your cravings with gourmet burgers, brisket, and BBQ at the Rooftop Garden Grill. Drift away to the rhythm of live musical performances coming down to you from treetop sculptures. Get caught up in a friendly game of giant chess with fellow vacationers. Catch a movie at A Taste of Film for an interactive fusion of food and film. Dance the night away as a live band plays your favorite songs. Or just lie back on a comfy lounger and gaze up at the sea of stars above you as you glide over the sea below. Your imagination is your guide in this fantastic garden escape designed to awaken the inner child in all of us.

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Affectionately known as the “Venice of America” due to a comprehensive canal network, Fort. Lauderdale offers extensive strolling, shopping and dining opportunities. With 23 miles of sparkling beaches, including 7 miles touching the Atlantic Ocean, you can spend all day relaxing under the Florida sun. The 12 shopping malls in the city have some of the biggest outlets and best bargains in all of America.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

One of the largest islands in the Eastern Caribbean, Puerto Rico's landscape encompasses mountains, underground caves, coral reefs, white-sand beaches and an incredibly massive rain forest that supplies fresh water to most of the island. At the same time San Juan, the capital of the commonwealth, is a big city with a bustling business district, glitzy resorts and casinos, as well as one of the most stunning examples of colonial life in the Western world.

Tortola, B.V.I

Besides being one of the most scenic islands in the Caribbean, Tortola offers a decidedly cultural and historical side. Visitors who can pry themselves away from its picture-perfect beaches frequently visit the Virgin Islands Folk Museum, where they find an extensive collection of the island's ancient plantation artifacts.

Phillipsburg, St. Maarten

When the Spanish closed their colonial fort on St. Maarten in 1648, a few Dutch and French soldiers hid on the island and decided to share it. Soon after, the Netherlands and France signed a formal agreement to split St. Maarten in half, as it is today. Philipsburg displays its Dutch heritage in its architecture and landscaping. The island offers endless stretches of beach, beautiful landscapes and great shopping.
